• Learning Progress: Your lesson completion, vocabulary progress, XP earned, and streak data are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.
• App Usage: Basic anonymised usage statistics (screens visited, features used) to help us improve the app. No personally identifiable information is included.
• Account Information: If you choose to create an account for cloud sync, we store your email address and encrypted password to provide cross-device synchronisation.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the learning experience
• To track your progress and personalise content
• To sync your data across devices (if you opt in)
• To improve the app based on anonymised usage patterns

Data Storage

By default, all your learning data is stored locally on your device. If you create an account, your progress data is securely stored on our servers to enable cross-device synchronisation. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data in transit and at rest.

Third-Party Services

Polingo uses the following third-party services:

• Text-to-Speech: We use device-native text-to-speech capabilities for pronunciation. No audio data is sent to external servers.
• Expo: Our app is built with Expo, which may collect anonymised crash reports and performance data.

Children's Privacy

Polingo is suitable for all ages and is designed to be child-friendly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not contain any inappropriate content, advertising, or in-app purchases targeted at children.

Data Retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete the app. If you have an account, you can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
